Cancellation & refund policy
These are the cancellation options published by Kailasa Treks & Expeditions. The percentage available depends on when your cancellation is received before the expedition starts.

Refund percentages are of the expedition fee; the original policy describes the more-than-60-day credit as 100% of the amount paid. Confirm the amount applicable to a part-paid booking directly with Kailasa.
Using future credit
Vouchers are valid for one year from the original expedition date. They may be used for a Kailasa trek or expedition; any increase in price is payable. Where a refund applies, the published processing time is 7–10 business days after confirmation, via the original payment method.
If Kailasa cancels an expedition
If Kailasa cancels before departure because of natural disasters, political unrest, government restrictions, safety hazards or other unavoidable circumstances, its published policy offers a voucher for 100% of the amount paid, valid for one year. If the expedition is cancelled after it begins for the listed uncontrollable or mountain-safety reasons, the published policy says no refund or voucher is issued.
No-shows and early departures
No refund is provided for a no-show. If a participant voluntarily leaves a trek or expedition midway, the published policy says no refund or credit is issued.

The published day ranges overlap at exactly 30 days and do not specify a cut-off time. Ask Kailasa to confirm which bracket applies to your booking before relying on a boundary date.

Kailasa's current policy lists name, email, phone number, billing and payment details, IP address, browser type, and website-usage data and logs.
How information is used
It is used to process bookings and payments, send confirmations and expedition details, provide support, improve the website and meet legal requirements.
Who may receive it
The policy says personal data is not sold, rented or traded. Limited information may be shared with payment processors, guides and logistics partners involved in an expedition, and authorities when required by law. Third-party services may have their own privacy policies.
Security and your requests
Kailasa describes SSL encryption, secure servers and restricted personnel access. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing kailasatreks@gmail.com.
The current source page does not clearly explain its cookies or data-retention periods. Those details need to be confirmed for the replacement website.

Trekking and mountaineering involve inherent risks, including altitude illness, weather hazards and physical exertion. The current terms contain a broad responsibility disclaimer and state that Indian law applies, with disputes under the jurisdiction of courts in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
